At the beginning of 2023, after being designated "out-of-network" with many commercial insurance providers, we made the decision to stop accepting commercial insurance and adopt a direct pay billing system.
We are still accepting most Medicare policies and Tricare.
Since our practice is no longer considered in-network with most insurance plans, we may not be able to bill your insurance for you.
After your visit and payment, we will provide you with any information or documentation you require to file the visit with your insurance if you elect to do so, but this is no guarantee of your insurance paying. Please contact your provider for specific details and direction.
Because of the transition, full payment will be due at the time of service.

Dr. Winter is board-certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine and formerly by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (he voluntarily elected to not renew this board because of their policies and fees). He is separately board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (under the American Board of Medical Specialties) as a sleep medicine subspecialist. He is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine the Sleep Research Society, and the Virginia Academy of Sleep Medicine.
